Our 2024 Husking Bee saw almost 150 volunteers come together over three days to pick and husk over 2,000 cobs of corn. It was a rough year for corn, so the timely husking and braiding helped preserve as much of the corn harvest as possible. Volunteers were served a white corn lunch (prepared by our hospitality volunteers), and had coffee, tea, and cookies to keep them going while working in the barn. This corn will continue to dry till early spring when it will be ready to be processed into hulled corn and corn flour to be used for educational programs at Ganondagan with a portion of it being sold in our gift shop.
Nya:wëh (thank you) to our volunteers, we could not do this without you!
