Cranberry Kumquat Relish
1 package whole, fresh cranberries (approx. 3 cups), rinsed
3/4 cup water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 pound kumquats
Wash and chop kumquats. Discard any large seeds. Combine water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to boil. Stir in cranberries and kumquats. Return to boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Refrigerate and serve.
Tip: make a day or two a head for best flavor.
