Maintenance Technician

Under higher-level supervision, the Park & Rec Aide will perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks
and responsibilities in the operation and maintenance Ganondagan State Historic Site such as carpentry, plumbing,
electrical and painting. This position involves medium to heavy manual labor and the ability to operate a variety of pieces
of equipment and power tools including chainsaws, mowers and various ground maintenance equipment.

OPERATING NEEDS
Must possess and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license.
Must be able to follow written direction, record and document required information and communicate verbally.
Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and park patrons.
Must be able to perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair work.
Must be physically able to perform medium to heavy manual labor.
Must have recognized chain saw certification such as Game of Logging or ability to obtain within probationary period.

Must be qualified to wear a respirator and have knowledge of good safety practices that must be utilized.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $13.57 /hour

Education: High school or equivalent (Required)

License: NYS Drivers (Required)
